A Study on First Step Expressions

There's a lot floating around in a 10 month old's mind when she takes her first steps.  Our sweet Kayleigh's walking adventure began on July 27th.  Here are some of the expressions that flitted across Kayleigh's face while she practiced some more on Grammy and Papa's lawn on Saturday :)

Tentative, but oh-so-proud

"I've totally got this!"

Rockstar!

"Walking is hard."

Discouraged.

"Oh, look!  Grass!"

Cheering up

"I'll do it tomorrow."

"Watch out, Tomorrow!!"

"I'm gonna walk all over you!"

  2. Oh my goodness, I'm offline for a couple of weeks and sweet little angel face Kayleigh starts walking? What a big girl she's getting to be!

    1. She sure is growing fast! Can't believe we have a first birthday party coming up in less than two months...yikes! She is such a joy, though. And yes, it feels like I'm blinking and she's growing, too!

  3. wonderful pictures! I have a few of Mackenzie with her arms outstretched, leaning forward, and pure excitement on her face when she first started walking.

    1. I love that! They are so proud of themselves, and it is so adorable! I bet Mackenzie is walking all over the place by now! Kayleigh has only gotten up to seven steps in succession before plopping down :)

  4. Go Kayleigh! I'm thinking it's not much longer until my little one is doing this too! Time flies!
