What a Guy!

Yesterday morning, after I fed Kayleigh and changed her diaper, I plopped her into her baby swing and hopped into the shower.  When I got out of the shower, Kayleigh smiled up and me and cooed.  I talked with her while I brushed out my hair, and she never stopped smiling.  Once I was dressed and ready to take her downstairs, I picked her out of the swing and gasped in shock.  Soupy baby poop had gone up her back all the way to her underarms.  Gah!

I rushed her to the changing table, but couldn't resist taking a picture and sending it to Jesse.

"Envious, much? Lol, I guess I'm not allowed to take showers any more!"

If you're wondering, "What weirdo sends poopy pictures to her husband?"

I'll proudly raise my hand.  Don't you think it helps them appreciate what we do on the front line?

Anyway, I nearly fell down the stairs yesterday when I heard Jesse come home.  He greeted me at the steps with a beautiful bouquet.

"What's this for?!?"

"For being an amazing mom," He said.  "Thanks for all you do."

*swoon*

I love my guy!

    1. lol, Mark will catch on! He's probably still in shell-shock mode. The first month kind of does that to you :) It looks like you're all settling in, though! Kayleigh went all over the place with us starting as soon as we got home from the hospital, too. I'm thankful we both have such easy going kids! ♥

    2. We are doing pretty well. Things change so fast in the first month, you never really know what you are doing :)
It seemed like Ivan was getting pretty close to sleeping through the night, when all of a sudden he went back to two feedings at night. That was disappointing... I am hoping that will change again soon.
      take care!

    1. No matter who's idea it was, a girl will never fault her guy for getting her flowers :)
